Use of web enabled delivery mechanisms for both
data and voice means that as soon as dictation is completed and sent, an expert
MT begins work on the transcription. The completed report is returned to
client facility in electronic format within the predetermined
TAT. Scribernet's state-of-the-art
medical transcription service is constantly re-engineering the
dictation/transcription process in order to take full advantage of the latest
advances in computers, networking and digital sound technology. Combining these
technologies with competent transcription skills allows us to provide cost
effective solutions to meet your transcription needs. We offer clients a set of
core competencies which are invaluable to the medical
profession
Our transcription
services are:
Accurate:
Scribernet
follows
standards established by the AAMT to insure a high accuracy rate for all
transcribed reports submitted to your healthcare
organization. Scribernet follows the "Smooth Verbatim"
transcription style, where "uhms", false starts and emotions, etc.
are eliminated.. We go one step further - we correct grammar, correct slang.
etc. We follow this protocol - unless told
otherwise.
Scribernet
guarantees 99% accuracy in the first go around. Accuracy is enhanced by the fact
that our medical transcribers has a wide range of expertise in most medical
disciplines. Our quality assurance has a four pronged
approach:
-
MTs
transcribe and edit their own work using the latest terminology, dictionaries
and spell check software.
-
Transcribed documents are proof read by Scribernet's Quality
Control Managers who are all qualified Doctors.
-
The final
QA check is carried out by our QA lead, a physician, before delivery to the
client on all questionable transcriptions.
-
Potential
problems such as inaudible words, phrases are highlighted for easy correction
at client location. It is very desirable that the audio be recorded in audible
and coherent sound.
Should the audio come to us in a condition that is not audible and
coherent, the final transcription may have blanks that may need to be
inserted. These correction areas are highlighted by the MT's and checked by
our physician QA lead one final time before shipment to the client
site. Under these circumstances Scribernet will try to do its
best, but cannot guarantee the final product to be 99%
accurate.
Timely:
-
Guaranteed
24 or 48 hours turnaround.
-
STAT
response is available.
-
Fast
correction time in case of errors
Cost Effective
We are probably one of the lowest cost
per line transcription service. Our low cost is made possible by our advanced
web-enabled delivery mechanism.Scribernet charges by line. That means that
each typed character is counted and every 65 characters is deemed to be
a line. Lines containing just a word or are empty are not counted.
Our monthly billing statements clearly categorize
expenses based on doctors, document name, line count, date, etc in order to
provide you with a clear picture of your expenses

Simple and flexible
Scribernet
offers easy to use digital dictation
options. Doctors can either dictate into a handheld device or simply
call a toll-free number. We offer several options and easy
set-ups:
- Voicescriber using any handheld digital dictation device. The
easiest way is to simply use a hand held digital recorder. These hand
held units come from a number of suppliers and offer a wide variety
of audio quality and file length options. The recorder is then connected to a
PC and the audio file, usually in ".wave" format, is uploaded into a
designated directory in the PC. These files can be played back by invoking the
Windows Media Player. The Voicescriber script installed in the PC
offers easy upload into the secure Webscriber system with a one button
click.
These first few lines of text are the most difficult lines for
transcriptionists. Often, they must spend time looking up the proper
information.
- Phonescriber dictation support via telephone. Scribernet's
Phonescriber system allows dial-in dictation from any remote phone via a
local or 800 number.. This allows dictation to be done on a 24/7 basis. The
dictation is recorded on digitalized sound, compressed, encrypted and is
immediately placed on an electronic queue for our professional
transcriptionists. Digital dictation, in general, eliminates the cost of pick
and delivery of analog tapes resulting in huge cost savings and quick
turnaround.
- Dictation support via
PC : Another effective
option is to utilize the PC or a laptop.
All reasonably current PC's and laptops come with an audio function
built in. All it needs is a low cost microphone to be plugged into
the "MIC" jack. Windows comes standard with the sound recorder, usually found
in the Accessories section. There is however a downside in using such a
system. Scribernet's Webscriber system accepts digital formats
such as ".wave" or ".mp3" or "wmv". Direct PC recording usually defaults to
the ".pcm" format, which are very large files and therefore not amenable for
efficient internet transmission. However, there are programs available in the
public domain that can eliminate this problem. Please contact us for details.
The Voicescriber and Phonescriber
technology allows flexibility to incorporate the physician's preferences for
dictation while completely automating the voice links, uploading to the
transcriptionist, and downloading back to the physician's offices or health
organizations.
Simply put, the Webscriber Web system
is the delivery and retrieval mechanism for the transcription service. All
transactions are encrypted and kept in a secure web environment. Voice files and
completed transcriptions can be uploaded and downloaded from the Scribernet
client website - a secure website. Hospitals
and doctors are able to track the status of their dictations 24 hours
per day through our web site. This result - a very efficient delivery
mechanism.
Electronic
Signatures:
Authors can now review, edit, and sign their
transcribed dictated reports via the Webscriber secure server. All they
need is an internet enabled PC. And because the signature feature is
accessed through the Scribernet client web-site, via secure Internet
access — turnaround time is dramatically reduced, resulting in immediate
internet access to signed reports, which streamlines the report generation and
distribution process. Once signed, the electronic patient record (EPR) cannot be
changed.
